If you contact Wick & Flame Logistics by phone, email or WhatsApp, the information you provide is used to respond to your enquiry, assess the requested delivery and communicate about the service. Do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information.
Trip Planner
The Trip Planner sends the postcodes and options you enter to the website’s routing service. UK postcodes are checked against Postcodes.io so inactive or unknown postcodes can be rejected before verified coordinates are sent to TomTom for a road distance, route and live-traffic estimate. A calculation is not a booking. Information is only included in a WhatsApp message after you choose to open that link.
Anonymous website measurement
The website maintains aggregated daily visit and interaction totals, such as quote-contact clicks and completed Trip Planner calculations. These totals are used to understand whether the site is useful and are shown only in an owner-restricted dashboard. The measurement does not store names, email addresses, postcodes, message contents or complete IP addresses.
Security and abuse prevention
To protect the Trip Planner, map service and anonymous counters from automated abuse, the website temporarily converts a visitor’s network address into a one-way technical identifier and counts requests within short time windows. The original network address is not stored in the website database, the identifier is not shown in the dashboard and rate-limit records are automatically removed after 24 hours.
Optional Google Analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics”, Google Analytics measures page views and selected actions such as telephone, email and WhatsApp clicks or a completed Trip Planner calculation. It may also receive general device, browser and approximate location information. Trip Planner postcodes, freight descriptions and enquiry-form contents are not sent to Google Analytics. The lawful basis for this optional measurement is your consent. Advertising storage and personalised-advertising signals are currently kept switched off. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Visit session cookie
A short first-party session indicator named wf_visit_session is used to avoid repeatedly counting the same browser session as a new visit. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Analytics cookies and your choice
Your analytics choice is stored for six months in a first-party cookie named wf_analytics_consent. If you allow analytics, Google may set first-party cookies whose names begin with _ga. If you decline, the Google tag is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the website footer; declining later also removes the Google Analytics cookies accessible to this website.
External services
Links to WhatsApp, Google and Courier Exchange open external services that operate under their own privacy terms. Postcode validation uses Postcodes.io, while the route map and traffic estimate use TomTom map and routing services. Optional visitor measurement uses Google Analytics only after consent.
