Service overview

Dangerous goods need the right information before they move.

ADR consignments are assessed individually. Before transport can be confirmed, we need enough information to identify the goods, their classification, packaging, quantity and any special handling or route requirements. This protects everyone involved and ensures the correct transport arrangement is considered.

How it works

From enquiry to delivery.

  1. 01

    Identify the goods

Provide the UN number, proper shipping name, class, packing group where applicable and total quantity.

  2. 02

    Review the arrangements

We assess packaging, documentation, loading, route and vehicle requirements before confirming suitability.

  3. 03

    Confirm before movement

Transport is only arranged once the consignment details and operational requirements have been agreed.

Planning details

Information to prepare for an ADR quote

Please provide the UN number, proper shipping name, hazard class, packing group where applicable, number and type of packages, total quantity and any available safety documentation. Photographs of labels and packaging can also help the initial assessment.

We also need the collection and delivery postcodes, access arrangements, required times and contact details at both locations. Do not present undeclared dangerous goods for collection.

Every ADR enquiry remains subject to a suitability and availability check. The Trip Planner provides route information, but it does not determine whether a regulated load can legally or safely be accepted.

Service questions

Useful answers
before booking.

Every delivery is confirmed individually after the route, freight and handling requirements have been reviewed.

01What is the most important information for a quote?+

Start with the UN number, proper shipping name, class, packing group where applicable, package type, quantity, weight and route.

02Can the Trip Planner approve an ADR load?+

No. It can estimate the route, mileage and traffic time, but ADR suitability must be confirmed directly after reviewing the consignment details.

03What if I am unsure how the goods are classified?+

Ask the manufacturer or supplier for the safety data and transport information before requesting collection. We cannot classify an unknown substance on the customer’s behalf.
